On March 24th. 1945, during one of the Tuskegee Airmen's many bomber escort missions, 1st. Lt. Earl R. Lane of the 100th FS destroys a Messerschmitt 262 high over Germany. Below, a captured Mustang shadows the bomber stream. - The print bears an original pencil drawing by the artist, and is signed by six Tuskegee pilots.
