Faster Than a Speeding Bullet
by Mike Machat

On the morning of September 18th 1959, Convair first demonstrated the radical concept of undetected low-level airspace penetration. Convair's chief test pilot Beryl Erickson flew a new B-58 from Texas to California non stop, at altitudes of 500 feet or less, and at speeds up to 720 mph. Signed by: Beryl Erickson.
