Major George Preddy in his famous P-51, “Cripes A’
Mighty 3rd”, as he claims his 6th and final kill of the
day on August 6th, 1944. With this victory George Preddy set
a U.S. Armed Forces record of six victories in one mission. Aside
from this distinction, Preddy had among his career highlights
27.5 aerial victories and 5 ground victories. To this day he
is the sixth ranking Air Force ace and the eighth ranking American
ace.
