The crew of a Lancaster of 156 Squadron Pathfinder Force,
deep in concentration as they prepare to mark the target area
for the following bomber stream. Using a new navigation tool,
code name Oboe, the pathfinders will pinpoint the target,
and drop coloured marker flares which will be visible through
the constant haze of pollution that hangs over tonight's target
in the Ruhr valley, the industrial heart of Germany.
