As the sun slowly begins to rise
this wintry morning over Thorpe Abbots, Norfolk, ground crew
prepare B-17G The All American Girl in an almost surreal
setting, for her 99th mission over enemy territory. On 10th January
1945, 19-year-old pilot, 1st Lt. John Dodrill and his crew went
missing on a combat sortie to Cologne. Like many other crews,
they made the ultimate sacrifice in the fight for freedom, with
the Bloody 100th Bombardment Group playing its full part
