An A-4 Skyhawk piloted by Lt. Everett Alvarez is depicted
launching from CV-64 on the first day of bombing attacks on North
Vietnam. Alvarez was shot down on this mission, becoming the
first pilot to be shot down over N. Vietnam. He spent the next
eight years as a P.O.W. - Signed by Everett Alvarez. |
