Col. Bernie Fisher was awarded the Medal of Honor for his
rescue mission in the
A Shau Valley on March 10, 1966. Fisher landed his Skyraider
on the damaged airfield to rescue Col. "Jump" Myers,
returning with 19 bullet holes in his aircraft.
