The dams raid, carried out on the night of 16/17 May 1943 by Lancasters of 617 Squadron, is one of the most famous air raids of the war, it was certainly one of the most daring and ingenious. Shown here on the morning following the raid is one of the lucky Lancasters of 617 Squadron that survived the mission.
Signed by three 617 Squadron memebers, two aircrew and one ground crew.
