Merging the Royal Flying Corps and the Royal Navy Air Service
in April of 1918, the British government created the first independent
air force in the world. This print depicts a Sopwith Camel, several
SE5As and two sky-borne Handley Page 0/400 bombers.
Each print is signed by three of the modern RAF's highest ranking
officers:
Sir Peter Harding, Sir Michael Graydon and Sir John Thomson. |
